Kim Oreno, CAE, joins Shaw Yoder Antwih Schmelzer & Lange with a background in association management, communications, and member engagement.

Kim spent much of her career with California Advocates, Inc., working with associations on everything from membership and communications to conferences, publications, education programs, and board support. Along the way, she developed a particular interest in association technology and how it can support member communications and engagement.

Most recently, Kim worked for a collection of businesses owned by the Pierson family, including Medic Ambulance Service, the Medic Keep the Beat Foundation, and Sentivo Vineyards. Her projects ranged from communications and employee development to nonprofit programs, events, and winery tasting room operations.

Kim earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in 2020. She loves a good project, enjoys learning new technology, and is usually happiest when she has something new to figure out.

Outside of work, Kim lives in the Sacramento area with her husband and their Bernedoodle, Henry. She enjoys riding her Peloton, reading, road trips and probably spends more time with Henry than he actually requires.
