Lizzie Guansona joined the Shaw Yoder Antwih Schmelzer & Lange team as a Legislative Advocate in 2023 after serving as Communications Director and Policy Analyst in State Senator Josh Newman’s office.

In her prior role, Lizzie developed and orchestrated a strategic communications plan articulating the Senator’s legislative, budget, and district priorities to the public and stakeholders. In addition to staffing several of the Senator’s priority bills, Lizzie advised the Senator on a range of policy areas, including government and finance, labor and public employment, business and professions, and human services.

Previously, Lizzie served as a Press/Legislative Aide for Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris and as an intern for Assemblymember Tom Daly.

Lizzie Guansona received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Policy and Public Service from the University of California, Irvine.
