Olivia Thomas joined the Shaw Yoder Schmelzer & Lange team as a Legislative Aide in 2024, after previously serving in the Governor’s Office.
Olivia previously worked for Governor Gavin Newsom’s Administration. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in the Governor’s Office as an intern for both Legislative Affairs and Constituent Affairs. She has a background in administrative assistance, serving Legislative Deputies and the Director of Constituent Affairs. She previously served the Constituent Affairs department, where she provided administrative assistance to the office and managed correspondence surrounding public safety, and education. As a Constituent Affairs Representative, she assisted constituents over the phone and processed written correspondence. Olivia aided constituents by working with the office and state agencies to address their concerns and requests.
Olivia received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Davis. She resides in Sacramento with her two cats.
