Alessandra Tanfani joined Shaw Yoder Antwih Schmelzer & Lange as an Intern in 2026. She is a 4th year Psychology major at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Her academic work focuses on adolescent development in digital contexts, behavioral research, and communication processes. Through her senior project and coursework in crisis management and public relations, she has developed a strong interest in strategic messaging and reputation management.

Prior to joining the firm, Alessandra interned with the Placer County District Attorney’s Office Multi-Disciplinary Interview Center, where she gained firsthand exposure to the legal system and observed collaboration between prosecutors, investigators, and partner agencies in sensitive, high-stakes cases. She also interns at the Child Development Resource Center, supporting early childhood development initiatives. Alessandra will earn her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Cal Poly in Spring 2026 and plans to pursue a career in public relations and strategic communications.
